Inside, on a bed in the middle of the room, Wilbur's little brother lay sleeping. At least, he looked like he was sleeping. But sleeping people usually woke up.
Tommy hadn't. He'd been in a coma for six months, three weeks, four days and two hours.

Daddy was very funny with those silly little jokes, but Tommy had no time for them. He quickly tugged on Daddy’s shirt, and Daddy stopped joking, looking down at Tommy in surprise.
“I’m sorry, can you wait a moment?” Daddy said. “It won’t take more than a moment.” He put down the phone and looked down at Tommy. "What's up?"
Tommy scowled. “Mrs. Puffy said we should be nice to our guests, but you have him locked in the basement!”
Or, Wilbur thinks Dream is the most evil supervillain out there. Tommy thinks he's the best dad in the whole wide world.

or, SBI are actors on a sitcom, and of course, they play a happy family- unfortunately for Tommy, the lines between fact and fiction are easily blurred and hard to define.
