Summary
An AI-writing scandal tears through the Heated Rivalry fandom, and Shane is worried his secret will be exposed. But the person he really has to answer to isn't the mob applying the skin left and right or raging commenters on social media. It's the man who has read his actual work, knows his actual talent, and won't let him pretend it doesn't exist.
A fight about Claude turns into a reckoning about everything else: Shane's wasted talent, his fears, his self-sabotaging tendencies, his brattiness, and his disrespect toward Ilya. Ilya finally does the thing he's been wanting to do for a year which leads to a conversation they both needed to have.
