Summary
You could argue that this AU is named this way because motherhood is a prominent theme, but that’s giving me too much credit. I was listening to a lot of Mother Mother while brainstorming for this and the name Motherverse sounded kinda cool I guess, so it ended up sticking. This AU is for any SVTFOE fics I publish that fall into the alternate timeline present in The Butterfly Who Lost Her Wings, the notable changes being:
- Everything in the show after Battle for Mewni is not considered canon unless shown otherwise
- The timeline and magic system is somewhat rewritten (most of which is in the background. I’d share more but that would be spoiler territory!)
- The Blood Moon works quite a bit differently
- Moon is a much more prominent character, along with some others
- Star, Marco and Tom are all 15 by the time BfM happens due to aforementioned timeline changes- Words:
