Big blue skies and endless fields of green, air to breathe and a whole canopy of stars to lie beneath for hours and hours, the peaceful late-night silence interrupted only by the buzzing of crickets and the occasional distant mooing of cows.
Their precious summers away from Manchester, away from their da. Where Liam could run around and just be the carefree kid she was always meant to be, perpetually skinned knees and wild unbrushed hair sticking out in every direction, more a part of the untamed landscape, the vast outstretching universe, than anything so trivial as a kid trapped in a small council house where even the stars refused to shine.
