They stand and stare at each other for several beats, both of them breathing hard. It’s Lu Fengping who finally breaks, a cry of frustration tearing free of his throat. He looks away but Luo Fei can still see the tears streaming down his face.
Luo Fei approaches Lu Fengping slowly, carefully. He knows he can’t hide how he feels any longer; he has to grab hold of this second chance, now or never.

The man throws his head back and laughs out loud, exposing the long stretch of his neck. Chan wants to lick it. "You clearly seem very uncomfortable," he says. "And yet, you took care of my Tonkhao. Thank you, khun."
"If you're truly grateful, then let me buy you dinner," Chan says, looking up from his neck.
He revels in the slight hitch in the man's breath. The grin slowly slips off of his face, leaving an almost tentative smile on his lips. Chan does not hide the obvious once-over, to which Tinn responds just as silently, with a twitch of his fingers and a red glow on his face.
"I'd love to."
OR: 4 times Tinn and Chan meet by accident and 1 time they meet on purpose.

Summary
An unfamiliar warmth is swirling in Ruan Lanzhu’s belly, spreading lower, liquid and hot. He is not unaware of desire, of course. He’s urbane, savvy; the things he knows about sex would make even Li Dongyuan blush, but he’s never felt this acutely caught up in his own desire. It’s never felt so unwieldy.
He watches shamelessly as Ling Jiushi drops his sweater on the ground and slowly picks up another fruit from the side table. Wordlessly he holds it out, hand-feeding Ruan Lanzhu like he did before. Ruan Lanzhu lets him, working his mouth to free the flesh from the pit under the weight of that dark, unblinking gaze. He spits the pit out into Ling Jiushi’s waiting hand, never once breaking eye contact.
The air is thick with tension. Ling Jiushi takes a step closer as he holds up another lychee, and now his eyes are almost black.

An Episode 23 coda (though beware, it includes references to big spoilers for the end of the series). Honestly, it writes itself. We were all thinking it. Right? (Right???)
