How can a person be so fucking forgiving? He shredded Navid’s arm in the garbage disposal, for god’s sake, why isn’t the human more angry about it?
“Ah…” they falter, almost imperceptibly, but he’d be able to note the way their voice catches in their throat even in a hurricane. “Who are you?”
“Did you just compliment me?”
Kole blinks, sparks of static running up his shoulders and clinging to the back of his neck.
“You did!” Tian grins, “Holy fuck, Nicholas Hagisaki said something that wasn’t shit talking!”

Summary
A bit unconventional for Ao3, but since most of my prose is written for RP, I figured I might as well show off the bits I’m proud of! This is a “series” of mostly-unrelated excerpts, grouped into multi-chapter works by character (with each chapter being a different snippet of writing). Most pieces have been edited to make sense on their own without the inclusion of other RPers’ posts, though some are presented out of context.

Summary
In one of the most famous gumiho stories, a human tricks the spirit-fox and swallows its bead of knowledge for himself. If he looked up to the heavens, he would learn of the cosmos and master the universe. If he looked down to the earth, he would learn of his world and uncover the secrets of men—but only just that.
The human—the fool—looks down. Minkyu, fox-cursed, does the same.
I’m going to kill him, he thinks. He would say it out loud, but he can’t—the paralytic chewing through his nerves keeps him docile, and willpower only gets him so far, only enough to dry the damp burn in his eyes.
He can’t feel the rods prodding in his skull—the brain lacks such receptors because it isn’t meant to be touched—but he feels when one precise stab triggers an ugly spasm across his face. Self-loathing comes swift and relentless, and Minkyu’s canines, grown sharp with his anger, puncture the swollen bruise of his lower lip. Blood wells, but somehow, the shame still stings more.
I’m going to fucking kill him.
But that’s a lie, of course, because Minkyu knows there’s no way he could possibly kill Noskov, not now or ever.
