Summary
Eddie's voice lowers to a whisper, "You whine like a dog, puppy."
Buck's tail picks up back into a wag behind him as he shoves gently against Eddie's chest, smiling widely. "Fuck you, man. I whine like a person."
"You sure about that, Buck? Maybe you've got some extra dog in you after all," Eddie teases, leaning back towards Buck and kissing him again, even as Buck laughs against his lips. "Just enough to whine and whimper like one. Just enough to take a knot like one."
Buck eagerly counts down the days til he can take Eddie's knot in the aftermath of getting stuck on his toy. Eddie spends the time getting curious about just how dog Buck actually is.

“Maybe.” Eddie concedes. “Maybe she fucked you and made you come, but you didn’t like it, did you?”

“No one’s as good as me, is it, Buck? No one knows you like I do.”

After Bobby’s death, Buck falls back into old habits he swore he’d outgrown. Eddie notices, and pretends he's not burning with a feeling he refuses to name.
