“I met Brad at the bar just now, when I was getting a refill,” said Mobius after taking a sip of his drink.
He paused again to fake a smile, which only made Loki more impatient. Of course Mobius ran into Brad Wolfe, this was a post-premier party for Zaniac 5 that Brad himself had invited them to.
“And he kinda propositioned me,” finished Mobius, making Loki choke on his drink.

“Ya think?” asked Mobius, sarcastically. He leaned back against the elevator wall, chewing on his bottom lip.

Summary
It was a lot more fun to pretend that they did all this by choice, that Loki was simply a stubborn god rather than one whose hands were forever bound by seidr-hungry timelines, and that Mobius was simply a devoted supplicant rather than a mortal man who loved him so deeply he'd chosen to spend eternity here at the End of Time where there was nothing and no one else.

Mobius's finger had been hovering over the fast-forward button but this boring reel had just become extremely exciting in a way that had Mobius feeling a degree of shame, reminding him he was nothing more than a voyeur.
