Summary
Bradley Bradshaw had spent a career with the goal of making it to the Fighting 32, the squad he'd grown up around with his dad, the best of the best. A spot finally opens, but his luck is the squad's loss, in the form of their wingman, Ensign Turner. With war on the horizon and ghostly shadows looming over his past and future, Bradley adjusts to a Captain he has history with, a spot on a new squad that belonged to someone else, and a wingman who hates him. Determined to fix the latter, he pulls out all the tricks of charm he knows, but Jake Seresin seems determined to spend their days at each other's throats. Bradley didn't mean to fall in love with him along the way. And he definitely didn't expect Jake to love him back.

Bradshaw looks at him like he’s the dumbest man alive, his gaze sharpening with condescension. “You’re my engineer, I know who you are.”
“So sue me for being polite.”
His jaw works, but after an interminable second he steps forward and takes Jake’s hand. “Bradley.”
Jake hangs onto the handshake for an extra second and smirks. “Such an honor to meet you in person. The king of IndyCar, finally gracing us with his presence here in F1. Can’t believe it.”

Summary
Maverick’s eyes lower to focus on the figure whose head barely reaches Copperhead’s hip, a blonde boy that looks to be around Bradley’s age. “And this must be Jacob.”
“Jake,” the boy corrects. He only crosses his arms when Copperhead taps his shoulder in a silent reprimand, but Maverick doesn’t seem to mind.
He laughs and exchanges an amused look with Copperhead before moving his hand into a similar grip on Bradley’s shoulder. “Well, Jake. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Maverick. This is Bradley.”
Bradley blinks owlishly at them both until Maverick nudges him. “Hi.”

"I need a favor," he says at last.
"With what?" says Grantaire. "Ooh, are you forming a cult? Can I join? I'd be awesome at cults, I just know it." He ticks off his qualifications on his fingers. "I love chanting, I look great in robes—"

Summary
Grantaire's life has a pattern: he pays his respects to Aphrodite, he goes to work, he loves Enjolras and provokes him because he can't bring himself to do otherwise. That seems unlikely to change, at least until Enjolras speaks out against the gods and ends up cursed.
