“You do,” Kamden says, on instinct, and Jay snorts and shoves him. And then, because they’re finally in a bed that’s not being watched by a camera, Kamden makes sure to add, “Insanely handsome.”
Jay’s entire face goes pink, and Kamden grins, smug and satisfied.

Ah. This is Ricky’s room. Even after this realization, he doesn’t back off. Maybe the alcohol’s making him bolder, but he kneels next to the bed, staring at Ricky’s face, cheek smushed into the pillow and eyelashes like butterfly wings, casting shadows against his cheekbones. He looks younger when sleeping, bleached locks falling in a curve over his brows, without the guise of his ever present charisma.
“Ricky,” he calls, reaching out and touching his fingers to his cheek, the skin smooth and warm to the touch. "Quanrui."
Ricky seems to stir, his eyes fluttering open. “Hn?”(It's extremely unfortunate that even after two years of living together, Shen Quanrui is still as heart-wrenchingly attractive as he was the first day they met. Unfortunate for Zhang Hao's neck, maybe, but half asleep Ricky doesn't seem to mind.)

There’s a soft laugh through the static of the phone call connection.
“Right. I think maybe I just needed to hear that. Thank you, Taerae hy—” The caller pauses, and clears his throat. “Taerae. Kim Taerae, bye,” he says before Jeonghyeon cuts the call off, just quiet enough that Taerae wonders if he imagined it. It’s a silly nickname from high school, all too familiar and all too hurtful at once.
OR: Taerae hosts an advice segment for their college radio, and a familiar voice calls in.
