As Crankcase nearly took a nosedive into the counter, Blaster’s servo came forward to support his shoulder. The touch felt like stars exploding beneath the rubber of his tires. “Careful, bud.”
Crankcase settled back and stifled a yawn. “Mhm. Your voice is nice… I don’t doubt that you’ve helped bring mechs out of their slump, mate. You seem pretty compassionate.”
“Ah…”
Crankcase could feel the sluggish brush of his embarrassment. Blaster scratched his cheek, sheepish. “Thanks, Casey.”

Summary
So this was how he was going out. Saddening. Significantly less exciting than he'd've hoped for.
The small cobalt mech took aim and pulled the trigger, not even bothering to turn tail and flee. No, it would catch up within a few strides and shred him, strewing sinew all over the battlefield. The mech didn't look right–-whatever the hell that meant.
A shrill screech echoed through the battlefield as it grabbed him and slammed him to the ground, sending dust into the air. The resulting shriek that left Crankcase was, quite honestly, embarrassing. In his defense, there was some sort of not-mech throwing him down (his helm cracked painfully against the packed dirt) and attempting to restrain him, servos grasping at his chassis clumsily and tendrils covering what couldn’t be accessed by hands. He didn’t know what it was after, but whatever it was, Crankcase knew he did not want it to gain access. It was a primal fear that he really couldn’t explain past fucking look at the thing!

Octane hummed noncommittally, crimson optics tracing the way the flickering light from the holovid caught Bluestreak’s round face and made his armor glitter. For having an Autobot color palette, he truly was beautiful; made of a blue-gray (Octane adored that colour) and a red reminiscent of the luscious common Earth fruit. He supposed he could compare his partner to such—bright, delicious and refreshing. He swiped his glossa longingly against his fangs and watched the way Bluestreak immediately locked on to the motion. “As if you’re not the most slippery ‘Bot I’ve ever come across,” he replied.
