Yes, yes, being a double agent seemed like a pretty nice gig. Working the system, the best of both worlds, etcetera... at least it would be if you weren't treated like a dog on a chain, or a weapon to be held by your world-wide organized crime mafia; the Kage-Gumi. "You’ve always wondered how difficult it’d be to breathe through a cloth sack.
It’s a go to trope for the cheap murder mysteries you like to read when you’re not working. The bad guy always kidnaps the damsel in distress to put the protagonist between a rock and a hard place. Puts a bag over the girlfriend’s head to confuse and scare her, ties her to a chair, tells her what he’ll do to her if her lover doesn’t capitulate to his demands.
Your wrists and ankles are tied to a metal chair with rope; it’s rough, coarse, makes your skin itch to hell and back. It’s too tight, too, painfully so. You can feel your pulse in your fingers and toes as your blood tries to shove past the compression around your limbs.
And as for breathing through the cloth bag over your head? It sucks.
“Where is she?” one man snarls. “I told them I wanted that bitch on the fucking phone--”
“They’ll call. RCPD takes hostage situations seriously.”
So, this is about Lin, then. You’re being used as leverage for… something.
