Summary
By the time Utahime finally makes her way to the street she lives on, it’s started to snow – a light downfall so far, but you can never know for sure in February. She wraps the scarf tighter around herself, feeling cold and drained, as she walks to her apartment complex; she wonders if her flatmates are home, considers if she has the energy to cook something or if she should just order in.
"Hey, Utahime," a voice calls, shaking her out of her thoughts.
Utahime startles, stops in her tracks by the entrance to the building. There, leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette (and earning herself a stink eye from an older woman who just came outside – one of Utahime’s neighbors, probably), is Shoko. She seems unbothered by the cold, her coat unbuttoned, a hat nowhere in sight.
A moment passes as they just stand there, regarding each other. All the air seems to rush into Utahime’s lungs, and then out through her mouth, along with the words, “You shouldn’t smoke.” She blinks once, a snowflake falling onto her eyelashes, and makes a conscious effort to inhale. “Here,” she adds lamely. “And at all.”
...
Utahime and Shoko, over the years.

Summary
And even if getting Rhaenyra in as a soloist was a staggering show of nepotism, she was still the best concert pianist on the planet. It was like when Dmitri Junior recorded Shostakovich’s second. You could get mad about it for a bit, but it was ultimately fair game. Alicent had already reached all these conclusions because Viserys had spoken to her weeks ago about programming the Concerto, which only had the unwanted effect of giving her time to turn it over in her brain like a particularly nauseating Rubix cube. Each solution of the puzzle led her to the same conclusion: she would be seeing Rhaenyra imminently, and there wasn’t a damn thing she could do about it.
After ten years apart, Rhaenyra Targaryen re-enters Alicent's life for a set of solo engagements with her orchestra. Things go about as well as expected (not very).

Summary
They were beautiful. He thought—irrationally—that anyone would have to be a fool to say they weren’t meant for each other. Shouto melded perfectly to Dabi’s mouth, practiced movements that came easily to them. He wondered how long they had been sleeping together. Shouto was only just eighteen, he had run off to find Dabi as soon as he was an adult. Tomura disturbingly found that he was not all that disgusted by Dabi’s actions. Was it possible that they had only just started fucking when Shouto came here? He guessed it was, although something inside Tomura told him that it was unlikely. Dabi really was a piece of shit wasn’t he? But as he watched how delicately he cradled Shouto’s head, touch almost reverent, he wondered if Dabi intended to be so horrible in this moment. Perhaps Tomura was just as cruel and delusional. Shouto was sure to rot here, gorgeous and dilapidated in his inevitable ruin.
Would he regret it?

Summary
Higuruma was meant to be dead. He was meant to die in Shinjuku. As a fool, sure. A martyr, maybe. He hoped his blood would pay for the blood he’d spilled, offering himself up like a sacrifice. An eye for an eye.
Justice had caught up to him. He let them take him, gladly guilty.
His roommate, Ieiri, came to visit him once a week. Leaning lackadaisical. Always dazed. There was something off about her- he just couldn't place it.
