They sat in front of a bored-looking clerk, who handed them a stack of documents to sign. Neil scanned the first few lines but didn’t pay much attention, thinking back to that Exy game he watched the night before—he just signed where Andrew told him to.
"Spouse’s name," Neil read under his breath, frowning slightly. He shot Andrew a confused glance. "Why does it say ‘spouse’?"
Andrew barely glanced up. "It’s a formality."
Neil blinked but shrugged. He signed, thinking nothing of it.
