“It’s a love spell,” Kaveh repeated louder, his ears burning.
“Oh,” Alhaitham said simply. “That explains the crowd outside. Found yourself a cursed artefact, did you? By your worksite?”
Kaveh was so surprised that he forgot that he was supposed to be looking away. “How did you know?”
“Your current affliction matches the description of a certain lost ancient artefact. And it wasn’t a stretch to conclude you stumbled upon it at your worksite since that was literally where you said you were going earlier on,” Alhaitham replied calmly.
“... Right,” Kaveh said, hesitantly. “And you don’t feel anything? No sudden urge to proclaim your lo-liking for me or anything?”
Alhaitham flashed him a smirk, and Kaveh's heart stopped beating for a moment. “Why, would you like me to?”Kaveh is cursed to have everyone around him fall in love with him. Everyone except for Alhaitham, apparently.

"I’d think twice about whatever it is you’re planning on doing, Traveler."
Aether's heart races as Alhaitham's warning sinks in. The traveler hesitates, unsure of how to proceed, but a flicker of determination shines in his eyes. He takes a deep breath and slowly raises one hand in a gesture of peace, hoping to diffuse the tension.
"Hey, wait a second, you can’t just threaten our friends!" Kaveh protests from behind Alhaitham’s shoulder. "Haitham!"
"I’m sorry." In spite of the sword that was about to be aimed at him, Aether apologizes, steeling himself and pointing the teapot at the two men. "But this is for your own good. I’ll let you out after you both make up."
Before either man could question Aether or make another move, for that matter, they both quickly disappeared into the pot, leaving the Traveler and his companion alone with nothing but silence surrounding them.
"Ohh." Paimon's tiny wings flutter anxiously as she hovers above the pot, and her eyes fill with worry. "They’re going to be so mad when they get out of there!"

After visiting Sumeru to find that Kaveh and Alhaitham are in another fight, Aether decides to take some drastic measures. -
