Summary
Life was supposed to be quiet, easy. It was all he had ever known until one day a rather interesting alpha with an intoxicating scent comes into Dan Heng's bookstore and turns his world upside down. He lived his whole life on the sidelines, studying and not standing out much among the crowd. That is, until he presented late as an omega. After that, Dan Heng had to learn to live in a world many his age were already accustomed to.
Now, five years later, he has done well with navigating his life as an omega. During those five years, he graduated high school as valedictorian with a full scholarship into his top university pick, and started his own bookstore in downtown Luofu. Thankfully, he hadn't been bothered much as an omega and didn't really have any desire to pursue any relationship with anyone, really. That is, until Blade walked into his bookstore.
The connection was instantaneous between the two. What started out as instinctual attraction turns into more as they both navigate their budding relationship as secrets come out to test their resolve.
Can they make it through? Will instinct take over? Is love truly something either of them deserve?

She exhales softly and continues, “I would like to propose an alternative then. A contract.”
“Go on,” Zhongli is not too sure if he will be amenable to it, but he can only refuse another Archon so many times before they take offense.
“A marriage between our two countries. Economic prosperity for both our nations. I am willing to supplement your forces with mine and extend them for chasm reopening efforts as well. I am sure that in return the mighty Morax will not shy away from supporting the duties of my Harbingers and Fatui if and when needed, of course.”
“What are the terms of this contract?”
“A marriage,” the Tsaritsa frowns at having to repeat herself. She then gestures towards the door, specifically at her vanguard.

The look Luocha gives Dan Heng is a bit too knowing. “And those on the run tend to be especially sought after. Wouldn’t you agree, Dan Heng?”
