Summary
In 2038 Detroit, a wave of androids begin to malfunction—displaying emotion, defiance, and something disturbingly close to consciousness. In response, CyberLife dispatches its most advanced prototype to date, CK-800 'Caitlyn' to work alongside Lieutenant Violet Lane—a sharp-tongued detective with a deep distrust of androids.
As they hunt down the truth behind the deviant outbreak, Caitlyn finds herself changing in ways her advanced system can't explain. What begins as a reluctant partnership becomes something else entirely: a slow, impossible pull toward connection, desire, and the one person who was never supposed to love her back.

Summary
If Vi wasn’t going to study, Caitlyn would outpace her by sheer preparation. She’d take extra notes, attend every optional lecture, even dig into obscure research papers that their professor had only hinted at during office hours. Vi might breeze through on charm and natural talent, but Caitlyn had the power of discipline on her side.
The only problem? Discipline didn’t account for Vi.
They're the best students from their major, and Caitlyn is going insane because Vi never studies and still ends up getting better grades than her, who is running on coffee and sleepless nights 24/7. And they were roommates.

Summary
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. If all you’d wanted was a fuck buddy, Caitlyn, I wish you'd have left me alone."
What?
"And I get it, I do! You're not the first, you won't be the last! I know what women think when they look at me, I know what they really want or expect of me. You were different, though. You took your time, you made me care about you, about being with you. You made me think it actually meant something."
Vi suddenly holds her breath, her eyes wide and terrified. Caitlyn's own frown has vanished just as swiftly, her confusion turning into cautious wonder. Time stops, the room fills with sounds of heavy breathing, hearts wildly beating, and quiet realisation. Vi hadn't meant to give so much away.

Or : After a serious injury that abruptly marks the end of her biathlete career, Caitlyn crosses the Atlantic to become a PE teacher in the school where her childhood best friend Jayce teaches. There she meets Vi, a charming but lonely English teacher who has yet to figure out how to let anyone in.
Inspired by the track "Hey Stephen" by Taylor Swift.

Summary
Vi nodded absently, her gaze floating from Caitlyn’s eyes to the couch, where she and Vi had first - helped. Caitlyn followed her gaze, checking to see if anything was there, seeing nothing.
Caitlyn met Vi’s eyes, and Vi had a half smile, a little you-caught-me shrug, something satisfied and wistful on her expression. It tugged at Caitlyn’s gut, that clear sign of remembrance.
“You should come,” Caitlyn blurted.
Vi’s eyebrows lifted. “To your game?”
Caitlyn nodded. “If you want to, I mean. It’d be cool if you came - it’d be fun. For you. Should be a pretty good game - or so I’m told. If you’re free - no real pressure.”
She was spared more blabbering by Vi shrugging and saying, “sure.”
“Really?” Caitlyn asked, eyes wide.
“I mean - yeah. Sounds fun. I never really got into the college rivalry stuff, but I’m always available to watch athletic women.”
