Summary
Cocky executive chef Ilya Rozanov starts working at a struggling fine dining restaurant that's desperate to use his brute culinary instincts to restore its reputation. But things quickly reach their boiling point as the perfectionist pastry chef Shane Hollander takes an immediate dislike to him.
But to be awarded the Michelin star they both desperately crave, they'll have to put their differences aside and work together. And the closer they work, the quicker things heat up in the kitchen.

Summary
"Shane," Bood says firmly. And it sounds so wrong, because Bood never calls him Shane. Shane is always Hollzy. And Bood's voice is supposed to be loud and steady, not shaky. And Shane finally, finally becomes aware enough of his surroundings to feel the trembling of Bood's hands against his waist. "Shane, please. They're working on him. We need to give them space so they can—so they can make sure he's okay."
"He's my husband," Shane chokes out, not quite managing to choke down the sob that's been building up long enough to boil over. Bood makes a similarly choked noise at that. "You need to let me go. He's my husband."

Summary
“Is someone chasing you?” Ilya drawls.
He turns, and yeah, this guy doesn’t look like much of a smoker. Ilya’s learned through time and experience that stoners come in all shapes and sizes, but it’s clear that he isn’t one: hair cut neat and short, straight-laced, brows furrowed into a scowl, shoulders all tight—too squared away. He’s probably not much of a drinker, either, if Ilya had to guess.
And he’s wearing a fucking suit, for Christ’s sake.
So boring, Ilya thinks, strangely delighted. He wants to take him by the collar and scruff up his hair, if only to see what he might do in response.
Or, Shane's struggling with anxiety. Hayden thinks his grumpy weed dealer might be able to help.

Summary
In late October, Ilya picks up some kind of freakish Canadian flu that dogs him into November.
It is the weirdest shit. He has to duck out of practice because his nose starts bleeding twice in one week and he wakes up in a hotel in Columbus with another one that leaves stains on the pillow. On the flight back to Ottawa, Hazy drops into the seat next to Ilya midflight and asks, "This isn't, like, a cocaine thing, right?"
Ilya laughs so hard it's probably a little rude.
They have a plan. Ilya's body has a different plan.

Summary
Shane frowned as JJ deposited the phone into his hand. It was grainy, and zooming only made the colors blur more. But he could still see dark shadows on Rozanov’s smile, right over his incisors.
“Are those – ?”
“They’re fang caps.”-
The fall of his rookie season, Ilya Rozanov starts showing signs of aggression. The league handles it one way, Shane handles it another.
