Another field trip trope with a twist...
'Peter Parker is an attention seeking nerd.' Flash knows that's not true but maybe if he says it enough, people will start to believe him. Maybe,if he says it enough, he'll feel better about himself. To be honest, Flash would give anything to take Peter's place. He knows that Peter has been through hell, losing his parents at four, his uncle at fourteen, living in a tiny Queens apartment with just his aunt. But the worst part for him is over, the pain is just from memories. But for Flash, it's still very real. Every day when he gets home, he'll be reminded how pathetic he is compared to his brothers, his bruises will remind him of the pain that his dad says he deserves, school will remind him of how little he actually is and Peter will make him think of everything he will never have. So he'll make sure Peter can never get the courage to say everything he is most scared of. He'll make sure no one sees who he truly is. He'll put Peter Parker in his place, remind him that he is not enough. And the best way to let that sink in, is obviously at Stark Tower, where he has his fake(real, Flash knows it's real) internship.

"What sounds more likely to you? It's not a trick, I'd genuinely like to know what you think. Is it more likely that you were bitten by a radioactive spider on a field trip, and that by some miracle this didn't kill you, instead gifting you with fantastical abilities, or that you witnessed something deeply tragic and extremely traumatising — traumatising for anybody, but especially so for a child — and your brain formed this fantastical world as a way to cope?"
Peter doesn't answer. Around the lump in his throat, he can't. He sets his jaw, but a hot tear rolls down his cheek anyway, followed by another, and another.
"I'm not crazy," he whispers.
"Of course not, you're simply unwell."

When Peter finds himself in an unfamiliar place, with no memory of how he came to be there, they tell him he has relapsed. They tell him Spider-man is just a character he invented to cope with trauma, that everything that has happened to him over the last two years is a figment of his imagination.
But Peter knows the truth.

It all started with the stupid game.

"Who has the darkest Backstory?" Clint clears up. I nearly choke on my coffee.
"Not funny Clint. He’s exaggerating.” Natasha swats his arm.
"That sounds awful why would you play a game like that?" I reasonably respond. Clint opens his mouth to speak when Mr. Stark jumps in.
"Because we're bored, and quite honestly Pepper suggested it for like team-building exercises or whatever in light of everything that's happened. It's supposed to be a therapeutic or something like that, but I don't question what the lady wants... She's always right you know." He chuckles, then takes a breath."So... You wanna play kid?"

That question messed me up, because I know who wins that argument.
If only I had known then, that was far from worst of it.WARNING: This is an extremely dark piece of work which is just constantly hurting Peter Parker over and over in many ways. It get's very violent and graphic and I missed some tags, so caution NSFW.
This is basically retelling stories that canonically happened to Peter with a dark twist, plus new stories I made up for more trauma, as well as my interpretation of Peter Parker's future.
