Summary
Ragno was born with a dragon tama, a creature living inside him. He's never met anyone else like him- until Key. Despite this, they immediately start off on the wrong foot, and seem destined to become bitter rivals. But when Key begins to have trouble controlling his dragon and is at risk of being expelled, there's no one else for Sugoi to turn to.
Ragno, duty-bound to obey his mentor's wishes, begrudgingly agrees to help, but ends up learning more about Key than he expected.

Sometimes, it can earn Subaru an ally. Sometimes, it can worsen the situation by a nightmarish degree. It all depends on luck, which happens to be something Subaru tends to sorely lack.

Dan jerked upwards, head whipping to the right to see his mom standing in the doorway of his room, one hand holding a plate of chocolate chip cookies and the other on the doorknob. Below him, Shun's face turned beet red as he blushed from the roots of his hair to the tips of his ears all the way down to the collar of his shirt.
His mom blinked, eyebrows arching. She glanced at Shun, glanced at Dan, and then took a deep breath, setting the plate of cookies on Dan's desk.
"I'm going to give you both a minute to compose yourselves," she said evenly, "and then the three of us are going to have a talk."
