When this is over I'm gonna make you come back to Kentucky with me so you can have real barbecue." He pauses, then adds, "And mint juleps. I bet you'd like mint juleps."

    "Johnny, you keep saying words at me and I'm almost entirely certain they're fake," Gyro complains, starting to prepare the other hare. "What in the hell is a julep?"

    “Wow,” Eddie interrupts, adopting a sickly-sweet tone. He slowly puts his fork down and clasps his hands together in front of his lunch tray, sending a forced smile in Richie’s direction. “You must be an excellent lover.”

    or: Eddie accepts a dare to compliment Richie a hundred times, not knowing that along the way he’ll discover how much he likes it when Richie degrades him in return – maybe a little too much.

    Will's only ever smoked one other time. (It wasn't even cool.)
    When Jonathan came in to check on him, glass of water in hand, he was sitting bolt upright. All he said was, ”El’s door doesn’t have a lock, right?”
    So for the next 2 hours, as Jonathan dozed off next to him on his bed, Will sat there and drew. After stumbling into his sister’s room and pulling that shitty Polaroid of him off her wall, he conjured Mike up and spat him out into his sketchbook like it was nothing.
    Of course—it was the best thing he’d ever drawn.
    The whole thing screamed, unabashedly, "I love you".
    After that, Will swore he wouldn’t smoke again.
    Until Mike comes to him (in the middle of an apocalypse no less), and with that bashful, sweet little smile he reserves for Will and only Will (Goddamnit.), he makes a little joke about dying before he ever gets to do one little regular teenage rebellion.
    And who is Will to say no?

    Or: Mike and Will get stoned in the Wheeler's basement, as the world ends.
