Summary
Two years after the Quake, Vecna remains dormant, but Demo attacks continue to rise consistently while the government tries to keep Hawkins in the dark. The crew tries to stop it by guarding the open cracks of the Upside Down while planning their next step to take down Vecna. But Will Byers is tired, and he just really wants to rest. As a matter of fact, he could kill just to have an ounce of it.

Will Byers slowly turns evil, and Mike Wheeler knows what to do to stop him, but he’d rather die than hurt his best friend.

Mike and Will are taken by the military who take a special interest in Wills powers. While Will is subject to experimentation, Mike does everything he can to keep Will safe.

"Will!" Mike crashes to the ground next to him. Gets a good look at him.
Wills eyes are dazed slightly. They latch on to Mike anyways and he seems to sag with relief. The blood from Wills nose falls onto his lip. Into his mouth.
"That was- that was amazing!" Mike brings his sleeve up and wipes the blood away. He opens his arms and lets Will collapse against him, head resting on Mikes chest and Mike doesn't even think twice about how intimate it should feel.
