The air conditioning unit blowing cool air throughout the Milano constantly, breaks but since the Guardians are planet-side when it happens, they don’t notice until back in space. However, it seems only Peter is affected by the temperature change. No one else knows until he passes out.

Everyone freezes. The words are directed at Eddie, specifically. Dustin looks like he has about a million questions, plus a million more reasons to protest the suggestion itself but the one that comes out of his mouth is probably the most obvious:
“You don’t play guitar.”
Steve doesn’t even turn to look at him when he answers, never missing a single beat.
“It’s not music that fucks them up, dipshit,” Steve flicks at the side of Dustin’s forehead, though the kid’s quick about dodging, it lands mostly in his hair; “they hate noise. I could totally just rig you up to the sound system and have you go on about the first version of Cerebro. In fact,” and this time Steve’s quicker, and he darts to grab for Dustin like he’s going to hogtie him into the time-honored tradition of anti-bat performance art via nerd-babble. Part of Eddie wants to cackle.
Most of Eddie’s fucking petrified.

In which Eddie goes to the Creel House, Steve takes on the bats, and things end…differently.
Also: Eddie’s been dating Steve since Fall of 1985. Which might prove important once Steve’s in a coma and Eddie won’t leave his side.

“Aizawa. Who is this?” the gruff voice of his teacher answered.
“Aizawa-Sensei… It’s Midoriya,” he managed.
“Midoriya? Why are you calling me at… 1 am on a school night, Midoriya?”
“There’s a dead body in my apartment,” he told his teacher. "It's my mom."
It had been 2 months since the night he called Aizawa. The man and his husband, Present Mic, believe it or not, fostered him without hesitation. He’d been seeing Hound Dog, UA’s counselor, twice a week since then. Slowly, but surely, he was healing with their help.
But as he sat with his new foster parents for dinner each and every night, eating meals together consistently with no one making him feel guilty for needing food, he wondered if this was how family always should have felt. He found himself growing more and more comfortable with them.
Just like when All Might gave him One For All, things were looking up for him.
Until they all came crashing down.
Familiar purple eyes stared at him in obvious surprise and anger. Izuku had known that Aizawa was training Shinsou a few nights a week after school, but he wasn’t sure why the boy was in their apartment right now. With a duffle bag. What was happening?
