Post Episode Nine
It's been eight months since Jax abstracted, and things in the Circus have been wonderful. Caine has kept his promise, making the Circus a truly Amazing place for each of them.
The adventures are now open doors, there's a darkened aquarium for the abstractions to swim around in, and Caine and the Moon talk for hours on end. Pomni and Ragatha are finally together, Gangle and Zooble are hopelessly in love, and Kinger is, well... Kinger.
Things are looking up for the each of them.
That is, until a new human joins the fray.

It was halftime at the Big Tops Stadium; mannequins cheered in joy and awe as the Gloink band played their marching band routine. Mannequins dressed in cheerleading outfits danced on the sidelines, drawing out hoots and hollers from the NPC crowd. The strong smell of popcorn and hot dogs hung in the air like a miasma– it was the picture of the good ol’ fashioned “American Dream.”
Jax couldn’t think of a single place he wanted to be less than here right now.
