She imagines all of the milestones — the doctor’s appointments, finding out her pants don’t fit anymore, feeling their baby kick, the baby’s birth — and she’s so fucking uninterested in doing it alone that she fumbles for her phone, firing a quick text off to Tim before laying down.

“Relax,” Tim murmurs, and Lucy feels a shiver run through her entire body as his warm breath caresses her ear. “You’re going to give us away, Nova.”
Lucy nods and sucks in a breath. She closes her eyes and leans back into Tim because he is and always will be her safe place even if their relationship has been a little strained recently, and when she opens her eyes again she lets herself slip into character.
She’s Nova and Tim is Alex, and they’re at the BDSM club because they’re into it.

Sometimes Richie felt like he was cheating on Tiff. They’d been divorced for a couple years and she was getting married, but he still loved her - and not just because she was Eva’s mom. He was incapable of throwing away all that history… Still, any time Richie had thoughts about another woman he felt like he was committing some act of indiscretion. Maybe that’s why he fought with Sydney so much.
Road trip sprinkled with angst. Don’t try to figure out the timeline because I don’t even know.
