Will tries to shrug it off. "Just something small. Early six-month anniversary gift let’s say, or at least part of it. The rest will come later. Now open it."
And he does open it, but it’s not a comic book or action figure like he expects but a collar and a custom one at that. But with how the last few months have gone—pining secretly and determinedly not talking about the puppy thing from Halloween—maybe this is what Mike needs. Maybe what they both need.

Summary
All his life Will has felt different—been different. He's gay, for one, and for another, he, despite the love of his life presenting as an omega, has no desire whatsoever to be his alpha—to even be an alpha. All Will wants is for Mike to be his in the same way he's Mike's, and he finally gets his chance one late Saturday afternoon when he has a scent finally and it's not alpha musk nor beta neutrality, but the sweetness of something he's all too familiar with after all his time with Mike—omega.

Summary
There’s a lot of things Mike didn't expect in life, the first being that it was Max who drew his name in the Halloween secret costume exchange but he should’ve figured that one, it was just his luck after all. The second was the costume she picked out for him: a dog costume, complete with a collar and leash which he refused to even look at. He wasn’t going to be treated like an actual dog, thank you very much.
And the final, most pressing thing: how much he actually liked it when Will treated him like his own personal dog—tugging him around, giving him orders, and worst of all, calling him a good boy.

George tidak dapat menahan amarah yang biasa ia mampu pendam. Mulutnya tidak bisa berhenti mengucapkan kata-kata yang seharusnya ia telan saja, "Aku masih membencimu yang selalu lebih baik dariku."
Max memandangi George lamat-lamat. Pengaruh alkohol sedikit mengaburkan pandangannya tapi ia masih dapat melihat dengan jelas kerutan di jidat George. Perkataan George membuatnya ingin menghela napas, tapi tubuhnya sedang tidak bergerak berdasarkan akal sehat, jadi ia hanya bisa tertawa kecil sebelum membalas perkataan George.
"Tidak ada hal yang bisa aku lakukan akan hal itu. Tapi mungkin aku tahu apa yang bisa kau lakukan. Kalahkan lah aku, kalahkan sebisamu. Buktikan kepada dirimu sendiri kalau kau memang lawan yang sepadan. Buktikan kalau kau lebih dari segala persepsimu."
Max Verstappen akhirnya memutuskan untuk pindah ke Mercedes, menjadi teman satu tim George Russell yang tidak pernah bisa akrab dengannya.
