Summary
Liu Qingge knew how people saw him; a brute who rushed headfirst into his problems and didn’t stop to think things through first. Someone who outsourced any of those pesky thinking problems to somebody else, namely Shen Qingqiu. In some ways, these nameless people were right; he did prefer to leave politics and diplomacy up to Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe, but he didn’t become the Bai Zhan Peak Lord by blindly rushing into fights. Applying himself to strategies that honed in on the weak points of his opponents required some forethought, needed him to think on his feet.
So when over the course of a year, Liu Qingge heard Luo Binghe’s counsel dropping hints about heirs, Binghe snarling at a dignitary who dared to suggest a concubine, and the several scenes in the dream realm involving one of them being (or getting) pregnant, he knew exactly what to do. It took a week and a half long trip, fighting his way through a forest then through the cave system hidden within, but finally, Liu Qingge could proudly present his solution to his husbands, head held high.
