Summary
“I'll work hard. You’re… one of the more experienced hyungs here. Whatever you say, I-I'll listen.” Wonbin's eyes flit upwards. His head tilts too—a kitten following a laser pen. “Your advice, I mean.”
Beside him like this, his form changes. The sharpness that had been present last week thaws where the dawn's light cascades over his left side. His eyelids are calligraphy stroke-perfect, deep creases to shadowy eyelashes, batting in wait. Flushed lips, plumped and wet, flounder for something to fill the silence, and in his failure he turns his attention back to the buzz of the fridge to plunge his face into that stark light. Sharp again, texture vanishing, perfect in the bright white, but the pink chill creeping up his fingers is all the more highlighted where he grips the lip of the vegetable drawer.
“I'm here if you need anything,” Sungchan assures, breaking the tension glazing over them.
Alternatively: Spring is the season of new beginnings for Sungchan and Wonbin.

Sungchan feels like, as a responsible father and adult overall, he should probably be somewhat apologetic for actually being the last to arrive. But he can't seem to conjure up any sort of coherent sentence in his brain at the moment.
His daughter's new teacher is the most beautiful man Sungchan has ever seen in his life, and he can't think of any sentences beyond ones that would probably have him removed from the premises by security immediately, such as: Are you single? Should we get married right now, immediately? Does anyone worship you? If not, can I volunteer?
