He spent the entire winter trying to make you love the snow just as much as he did. The more you resisted, the more he smiled—as if he could convince you just through sheer joy and boundless enthusiasm.
Stretched out in front of you were rows upon rows of gravestones topped with little piles that looked strikingly similar to dollops of meringue. Below, where there would usually be patchy grass and brown dirt, there instead was a glittering layer of white that concealed dying bouquets and broken twigs under smooth, nondescript mounds. Against the pristine surface, long blueish shadows painted the cemetery grounds in a pattern not dissimilar to zebra stripes—light, then dark, then light again. Everything, from the benches dotting the nearby walking path, to the surrounding trees and crumbling stone fences, to the tops of sodium lights and sloped rooftops further into the distance, was dusted in a layer of snow. Much of it still untouched and flawless.
It’s beautiful.
For the first time that morning, you began to feel the warmth of the morning sun on your face.

Cazador Szarr didn’t intend to turn a man like Astarion. That’s Aurelia’s working theory. Astarion—loud, prideful, panicky Astarion—was a crime of passion from a passionless monster. Astarion is a crime scene, not of a murder (murder isn’t a crime to a predator) but rather the crime of losing control. Aurelia is pretty sure Cazador couldn’t help himself. Do you go onto FAYDE and see a line and go “how do you even get that line was that true the whole time?” Do you not know how much of Elysium is Fantasy France and you’re too afraid to ask? Well have I got the fic for you!
The worldbuilding of Elysium is complicated, detailed, and often hidden behind skill checks. It is precise and vague and subjective and overwhelming, just like real life. This atlas hopes to streamline and organize the traditional FAYDE search process, clarify details, and note when the real world influences are notable and draw upon that. And wrap it all up in a colloquial bow because otherwise it’d be impossible for me to read my own work without my brain glazing over.Complete with aside breakdowns from the author over subjects such as “oh my god a dormant volcano is taller than two Everests”, “what the fuck is up with tzaraath that’s not how prion diseases work what the fuck”, and “why do I have to learn about time!”
