Summary
Wei Wuxian does not die. The Wen survivors do not die. The Yiling Burial Mounds was not laid siege upon. The Yiling Patriarch erects an invisible barrier around the Yiling Burial Mounds that isolates him and his people from the rest of the world.

Summary
Wei Wuxian, having traveled six hundred years forward in time and corrected the historical records as much as he can without revealing that he was, in fact, the Yiling Laozu, realizes that there is one thing he can't do unless he goes public with his true identity: Clear the names of the Dafan Wen, making sure the world knows that they were never a sect of demonic cultivators but innocent people caught up in the war. It's the least he owes them. Lan Zhan worries what the world will do, knowing he's the Yiling Laozu, but he will be there for him no matter what.
It's a whole process of course, but eventually there is only one step left. One certain way to prove his identity, and it's in a museum in Jinlintai.
It's not the only thing they find there.

Lan Zhan tugged hard on the blue line that bound them together, and Wei Wuxian all but flew across the room, crashing into the bed with a pained groan and sinking to his knees on the floor. He supposed, slightly hysterically, that this must be something like what Jiang Cheng had felt when he had hit Wei Wuxian with all the force of a biting insect the day after his rescue.
"You have no spiritual energy."
"Haha, Lan Zhan, that's funny, because actually it's just that I --"
"You have no golden core."This diverges from MDZS canon rather than CQL (so no yin iron, etc)
