Summary
“God, the red tide’s strangling the life out of me today. I’d kill a man in cold blood if it meant I never had a cramp again.” Fatin's midriff twisted, failing to find a position that offered some relief. “Any chance you could help a girl out? Let me borrow a tampon?”
Leah couldn’t explain what possessed her. Knew as the words slipped out that they’d replay in her nightmares for weeks. It was the lamest thing she could possibly say and it echoed around either the bathroom or her idiot head as she pulled the stupid tampon out of her backpack’s front pocket: “No, but you can have one.”
Or: At the start of her final high school semester, Leah meets someone that she can't imagine soon forgetting. She can only hope the feeling's mutual.

Summary
The girls find themselves in an all-too-familiar situation. For the second time in one summer, they've been left behind on an uninhabited island with a bunch of strangers and no way home. With the possibility that nobody’s coming to save them this time, it's up to them to save themselves. But how will they fare when they have much more than survival to worry about?
After two months of doing this on her own, Leah finds herself in the position of being seen as a leader—but maybe not by everyone. And as old thoughts start to resurface, she gets the feeling that something isn’t right here.
Fatin’s got a problem. A tall, blue-eyed, brilliant problem that she’s finding hard to ignore. Torn between being a source of support and wanting more than just friendship, for the first time she finds herself struggling to go after what she wants.
A canon continuation, picking up from the end of season 2. Heavy focus on Leah and Fatin.

Summary
“Okay so…don’t freak out.” Camila sets her down next to Beatrice’s and then pulls out her phone and starts tapping through it. Beatrice watches the sunflower keychain she has hanging from the case jangle around with each swipe of her finger. “Now, Lilith told me your situation. You need a fake girlfriend.”
Beatrice gets up. “Not another dating app, Camila. I can't…”
“No,” Lilith’s hands are on her shoulders, keeping her in place. “It’s not that.”
Camila makes a face, a wince, like it’s somehow worse than her nightmarish stint on eHarmony. “This feels vaguely familiar to when I was told I’d be taking some time away from home and ended up in a catholic boarding school.”
“Well,” Camila stops searching through her phone, apparently finding what she needed. “It’s nothing like that at all, but it might be equally as jarring. I had to break through like three security firewalls just to access this site.” She turns her phone around then for Beatrice to see the website she’s pulled up.

Summary
When Beatrice Zhao, aspiring art conservator, gets the news that her employer won’t sponsor her work visa, she has to make a decision: return to England and subject herself to the purview of her overbearing (and homophobic) parents or try something reckless, desperate, and most certainly illegal.
Ava Silva’s main concerns are:
i) getting out of swim practice early
ii) making it to her volunteer shift on time
iii) what to eat for dinner
That is until her friend Camila shows up with a huge favor to ask.--
“Bea.” Ava tilts forward to take her hands. “You are literally one of the most interesting people I have ever met.” Beatrice opens her mouth but Ava pushes on. “I have loved getting to know you over these past weeks and I can’t wait to deceive the American government with you. I am all in.”
Beatrice is blushing furiously.
“Thank you,” she chokes out.
“The pleasure is all mine, babe.”

Summary
Party girl and notorious heartbreaker Fatin Jadmani’s ego is shaken to the core when her summer fling dumps her just before senior year. It's the first (and, hopefully, last) time she’s foolish enough to take a chance on half-committing to a sort-of relationship. Worse: he moves on immediately. Even worse: he moves on to a nerdy nobody. Worst of all: the nerdy nobody is annoyingly attractive.
Shy, bookish Leah Rilke has been waiting her whole life for a rom-com worthy romance, and she thinks she’s found it with lacrosse star Kirin O’Conner. He's nice enough, even if he doesn’t really understand Shakespeare. And as for that bitchy but weirdly-intriguing cello-carrying girl she keeps running into around school, well, it’s an interesting subplot to her life, but probably irrelevant.

Summary
Leah focused on the pages in front of her. She did her best to ignore the girl beside her. And again, maybe she had said she was going to try to make some friends. But, Fatin Jadmani? It just didn’t make sense in her brain. What would they talk about? What would they do? Would they even like the same things? Fatin was too…too…
“And so, our first assignment of the year, really not even much of an assignment,” Galanis announced, pointing toward the syllabus. “You will be writing words of affirmation to one of your classmates. One compliment or encouragement to your table partner at least once a week.”
Shit.

Summary
Kissing Fatin is like a sedative; not in the way where someone’s forcibly injecting some cocktail directly into her bloodstream, but like something that sinks into her gums, makes all the edges and corners of the world look like around, not through; around, not over. Kissing Fatin is the opposite of smoke and mirrors, the opposite of gunpoint, the opposite of pressing her thumb against the sharp side of a knife just to see if it’ll cut.
Kissing Fatin makes every moment after something to look forward to. It’s so simple, so miniscule, so inconsequential: Life can be good again, if she lets it.

Summary
Her life was in complete fucking shambles and she’d be going from working at the homeless shelter in the morning to working at the bar at night for the foreseeable future, but she could make this -
“Sister Beatrice will be the one monitoring your attendance and effort, informing us of your compliance with the required fulfillment of your service.”
Oh good, more fucking nuns. She made some very inappropriate gestures the last time she saw a nun. Granted, Frances probably didn’t know what they meant, but it sure made her feel better.
Ava can see it now, Sister Beatrice is probably some old hag who sucks on lemon candy and smells like feet. She’s going to hate Ava the moment she sees her.
This is going to suck.
