His hands curled into fists against the floor. He tried to move, tried to fix it, tried to make it stop like that was something he could even do. But he couldn’t. And that made it worse. “Dad!” he called again, louder this time. His voice cracked. “Dad, please!”

His leg begins to bounce as Gojo drones on and on, blabbering about something irrelevant. He stopped paying attention an hour ago.
His head hurts again, an iron band tightening around his scalp. It’s been four hours since his last dose, because Gojo’s gone fifteen minutes into lunch, which he was planning to spend in his room.
They would notice if he brought the medication with him. Gojo wouldn’t be suspicious in any lawful regard, but he’d probably drag him back to Shoko and demand an investigation into his physical health.
He was supposed to stop taking the pills after his injuries healed and they’ve been healed for weeks.

It was far past midnight when he heard the noise. A crash coming from down the hall. He’d tried to read who it was using his six eyes, but their energy was so erratic and unstable he genuinely couldn’t tell who it could be. He supposed it must have been coming from someone’s late night training session that had left them more than drained, but the further he followed it, the more concerned he became.
It wasn’t coming from the training room at all.
It was coming from Megumi’s room.
“Megumi?”
“I’m fine.”
He was not fine. Not in the slightest. Not with that sickly pallor, those sunken eyes, that shaking frame, that messy room. Something was wrong. Very very wrong.
