CONTEXT :
The nations in this AU are just humans, and will strictly have their human names used. They're just mortal humans, with human names and human morals.
They live in a small town, Hetalia. It's a tight-knit community, and (nearly) everybody knows everybody. At the very least, everyone knows eachother by face, if not name.Matthew finds himself having vivid nightmares back-to-back.
FACE family is NOT CANON. There will be mentions of Franada ( France x Canada ), and while Francis IS creepy, I'm not making him a pos in this. So Matthew and him are NOT related, and Matthew and Feliciano are NOT RELATED!!!

Summary
Matthew always believed love should be gentle.
Ivan has long since learned love should last.
When Matthew visits him in the dead of winter, he’s faced with a house untouched by time, and a man with a frighteningly deep sense of devotion. It takes some time for Matthew to truly understand what Ivan means when he says he wants him to stay. After all, some things are better left preserved.
