Summary
All of my post-canon Our Flag Means Death fics--mainly Captain Frenchie & crew stuff so far, but I have some Innkeeper stories in the works. I tend to jump around a little in time as I've been posting them, so this is my attempt to arrange them chronologically. There's not a strict continuity, but in this order, details like the status of Garlic Soup and whether the Swede/Jackie are aboard the Revenge will progress consistently.

Summary
A periodic post-canon series about the sort of raids Frenchie leads the crew on. Not super serialized, so the individual stories will work as standalones, but they'll follow a similar theme of Frenchie coming up with new sneaky shit for the Revenge to pull off.
I hope it turns out well. I've fallen prey to one of the classic blunders, writing a character who's canonically brilliant at something I don't know very much about (pulling cons/grifts.) But we'll see if I can come up with some fitting hijinks for Frenchie and the rest of the crew to get up to!

“Are you… okay?” Jim ventures, dropping to sit in front of him.
Frenchie laughs, wiping more tears from his eyes. “Are any of us?”
“… do you want to talk about it?”
“Not any more than you do, babes,” he whispers, closing his eyes and letting his head tilt back against the wall.
Silence falls for a long moment. Frenchie breathes, and tries not to think about how dark everything has become.
Cloth shuffles, then a hand finds his. Frenchie opens his eyes, staring up at Jim, who’s now crouched in front of him. They give him a half smile and stand up, tugging on his hand.
“C’mon.”
Frenchie and Jim, finding light together in the darkness.

Jim-FrenchieReally beautiful story of Jim helping Frenchie find a little comfort during the Kraken era. The interactions between Frenchie and Jim are so tender and lovely! The nonchalant coming-out is sweet, and I love the depiction of an ace Frenchie who casually enjoys kissing.
