“Are you going to pull a poro out of a hat?” Viktor asks.
Jayce laughs, and Viktor’s heart skips a beat. It really shouldn’t, because Jayce is too easy-going and laughs too often for that type of reaction to be good for Viktor’s health. He should be used to this, ten months into their partnership.
It's Caitlyn’s birthday, and Jayce has volunteered to be the entertainment. The problem is, he's also volunteered Viktor to be his assistant.

Vincent scuffed at the ground with the tip of his shoe like an embarrassed teenager.
The Radio Demon watched him suffer for a while longer before letting him off the hook. “You do have a certain charm, picture box.”

He didn’t know if the whole cannibalism thing was apparently sexual for Al, or merely an act of dominance. Before the heart-eating incident and everything that preceded it Vox would’ve thought dominance, no contest. Alastor didn’t do sex, despite his rampant flirting. From day one he knew exactly what Vox wanted, and seduction was just another form of control for Al. He froze every time Vox had been thoughtless enough to make a move, and then Vox would spend days spiraling while Alastor avoided him. At least until Al got bored enough to reappear. Vox would stumble over carefully rehearsed apologies, promise never to do it again even though he definitely would, and Alastor would act like it meant nothing at all and say, Why are you so flustered, Vincent? Let’s go out for a drink! You look like you could use a few! Rinse, repeat. Deny, deny, deny. That was their game. And now…this. So many mixed signals. The irony of Alastor having literally consumed Vox’s heart wasn’t lost on him either. There was admittedly poetry in it, if one were into that sort of thing…which that fucker would be, but only for laughs. Was this his own twisted version of foreplay, or a breakup?
