Summary
Samira is fine.
She’s dancing, she’s drinking, she’s having a good time - and she doesn’t need Abbot stepping in and deciding otherwise.
Even if he’s right.
Even if she doesn’t realise it yet.
Even if by the end of the night, she’s standing outside her own door with nothing left and no one to call.

Summary
“Robby’s observing today,” Dennis replies, looking vaguely intimidated. “Final decisions on casting for the summer season.”
“Then who’s teaching class?” she asks the barre around her.
“Someone completely useless,” Emery says, rolling her eyes.
Mel leans closer. “Jack Abbot’s back from London. He’s choreographing a new ballet.”
Samira’s heart skips a beat.

Summary
She’s drunk on the floor of Trinity and Whitaker’s living room, and they’re talking about nudes when she admits she’s taken them, but never built up the courage to send any. That it’s always felt awkward, that she’s never felt pretty or sexy or delicate enough, that it’s always felt cringe.
Trinity blinks at her in confusion. “But you’re hotter than the surface of the fucking sun. I’ve seen what’s under your scrubs, Samira. What do you fucking mean, not sexy enough?”
“Seriously, have you seen yourself?” Mel asks. “You could put anyone on their knees.”
++
Samira Mohan turns thirty, decides to buy herself lingerie about it, and takes some nudes. And then she accidentally texts one of them to Jack Abbot.

Summary
This was all Jack’s fault. He was already in a bad mood, his leg hurt and he barely slept the night before. When Samira came to him, looking tired and slightly upset, to ask him to deal with a patient who was making her uncomfortable, he reached his limit for the day and maybe, just maybe, he was kind of looking for a fight.
Or Jack gets punched in the face and Samira takes care of him.

Summary
Samira hadn't been the kind of girl who dreamed of her wedding. When she dreamed of donning a white garment, surrounded by loved ones, on a day that would forever change her life, it had always been a coat.
Still, she felt a hundred times more nervous than she had the day of her white coat ceremony as she stepped both feet into simple ivory satin, pulling up the dress until the hem skimmed her mid calf. It was a simple thing. She and Jack shared a love of simple things. Daisies and peppermint castile soap. Jack's ancient Jeep. The three bedroom craftsmen the two of them called home.

We are all so incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to hear all about the amazing work you do at UCLA. Please stay in touch and send pictures of the beaches and burritos often.

Summary
Samira’s eyes went wide. If her cheeks weren’t rosy before, they probably were now. Was he . . . . flirting with her? Jack sat there facing her, his eyes dark and heavy, the corners of his lips turned upward slightly, a daring look on his face. He was handsome, with his graying curls and sturdy physique. Samira wasn’t one for being boy-crazy, but there was something about Jack Abbott that brought it out in her.
Maybe it was the alcohol. Maybe it was the adrenaline.
Whatever it was had pushed Samira over the edge. In an instant, she leaned over and closed the distance between them, her lips on his as she balanced her weight on her hands in front of her.All of the times Jack and Samira have kissed. Starting the night of PittFest and extending onward.

Summary
It felt good to get back into the swing of things. He hadn't found what he was looking for on a motorcycle–hadn't really expected to if he was being honest. Something about intubations, guiding residents, running codes, avoiding Myrna–it all felt right.
Nevertheless, Robby couldn't escape the feeling that he was missing something. Shift drew to a close and he handed over his patients to Jack for the night, but Jack seemed different, too. His thoughts seemed to be elsewhere, and Robby caught his eyes wandering as though searching for someone.

Summary
In all her daydreams and girlish fantasies where Samira imagined the first time Jack Abbot put his hands on her, it wasn’t like this. In none of those scenarios was she delirious from fever, incubating a double infection of influenza and strep, and in need of hospitalization.
