The heroic spirit summoned as Archer in the Fifth Holy Grail War has some thoughts about how he came to be where he is. As it turns out, a few stray comments from some false priest can still surprise him. Somewhat vague and handwave-y about what route it takes place in, although you can probably make certain assumptions. Also somewhat vague and handwave-y about how compliant to canon it is. But deviations are only minor.
