It is very bright here.
Bright in the way that looking directly at the sun is, upon waking from a nap that may have lasted five minutes or five hundred years.
There’s nothing but empty space and sunshine. An endless horizon of untouched, unmoving water stretches out into infinity, a perfect mirror to the shifting sky overhead. Wispy clouds drift. Stars glimmer in the daylight, murmuring amongst themselves as they float across the water.
I murmur as well, because I am one of them now. And all there is to do here is murmur and wander between these two skies until you no longer remember which way is up.

Isaac’s gaze flitted over to the city. He hummed, his mouth curling up in one corner, the barest lift of the lips that Flyseyes had come to recognize as his version of a smile. He hardly flashed his teeth like other humans. Isaac’s teeth were reserved for other purposes. Eating. Biting. He showed his teeth in the way a Night Creature might bare its fangs.
This was a quality in him that Flyseyes found almost endearing: how similar they were, in some manners.

Summary
The gunshot was clean through his arm, no shrapnel or broken bones, but a bullet wound is still a bullet wound, and Rei harbors serious doubts about his arm ever being quite as functional as it once was. He supposes that most people would be disappointed with that prognosis. The caldera of puckered scar tissue feels like a trophy; or maybe a gold medal won from a race, the feel of a small, sticky hand in his.

Yaqtan’s memories of their escape were blunted around some of the finer points. Mostly he remembered the haunting screams that had echoed through the halls of the palace. And the glint of the dagger that Tal had used to rip open the throat of his would-be assassin—the woman who had served as a temple attendant for as long Yaqtan could recall. The kind one who taught him to bind his arm for morning prayers with the same gentle hands she used for lighting candles. The one who blessed the two of them each week as if they were her own children.
She bled the same as their guard Shamgar had, red red red, in great spurting arcs across the polished marble floors.

Summary
Someday, you will find me.
One spring evening, a grisly murder took place in the halls of Cherryton Academy, and that tragedy began a series of disasters that nearly brought the whole city to its knees. Now, two years later, Riz the brown bear is paroled early from juvenile hall. He emerges into a society that has less patience for him than ever, muzzled and still haunted by his crimes, and tries to rebuild a life for himself.
Meanwhile, the newly re-integrated Cherryton Drama Club works tirelessly on its long delayed production of Adler, and Pina hears the news of Riz's release. Despite warnings and misgivings from friends and family alike, he continues to pursue his relationship with the bear, though both of them remain in denial of just how deeply their attraction runs, and Riz's fangs itch beneath the muzzle's restraints. Herbivore and carnivore, predator and prey, love and appetite - all of them clash one final time, as the eve of Cherryton's grand performance draws ever closer.

“You’ve fucked Vash, haven’t you?”
It comes out of nowhere. Knives’ eyebrows raise, but he doesn’t deny it. He doesn’t do anything except lay that cold gaze on him. It couldn’t be further from Vash’s despite their similar features, and eventually, he smirks.
“Did he tell you that?” It's like Knives is scientifically designed to grate on Wolfwood’s last nerve. “Come on, Nicholas. I thought you were smart enough to not ask stupid questions.”
Wolfwood throws the first fist of their second fight in the month. It’s short lived, as they’re both still healing from bitter injuries, and the shatter of glass has Vash immediately between them as a physical barrier they are both unwilling to harm. Wolfwood still doesn’t get his answer, and just a few weeks later, Vash hits him with a bombshell.
“Nico,” he says. “I think you should sleep with Nai.”
OR, Vash stages a reconciliation gone wrong, (gone right?), gone R-18.
