Finwë, King of Valinor, has a great idea to reunify his broken family -- have his disowned and exiled eldest son's firstborn marry back into the line of succession. Exactly nobody involved was consulted in this, but somehow it turns out to be a blessing for all of them. Once they stop living, talking, thinking, and acting under wildly different assumptions about this turn their lives have taken, that is.
Featuring: Indis as Valinor's version of Batman, her secret agent grandchildren who are very smart yet very stupid, so much generational trauma, lots of snuggles, lots of obliviousness, occasional discussion of wanting to avoid being married off to a creepy princess in a creepy forest in Doriath, and odd gender dynamics.
More tags/warnings will be added as needed and to each chapter if it's something not applying to the work as a whole. Everything that takes place between the main pairings is (eventually) completely consensual. (They've got a few assumptions to correct first.)

After multiple millennia and much healing in the Halls of Mandos, Maitimo was ready to be reborn and finally live in peace with his family and his beloved husband. However, when the Valar announce that they will be giving one of them a chance to go back and help take down Sauron once and for all, he offers himself for the quest. Not only does he have the highest chances of not being recognised -now that he has the right hröa, that is- but he has a younger brother to find and drag back home to their family, as well as a son to apologise to.
Sauron never really stood a chance.

When the Noldor return to Middle-earth to make war on Morgoth, only rumours reach Menegroth of their reasons for coming, but Doriath's minstrel experiences their loss and longing through his connection to Music and the gift of his Queen. Years later, he is sent to the Feast of Reuniting and meets the Elf whose grief he felt. A story about the Eldar returning home, their connection to the land and to each other, and their relationship to Music and fate, love and free will.
