Summary
Xuanli never really wanted to learn how to read or write the humans' language. But as his friend Qingning has told him, there are some things you can express in writing that you just can't quite in words out loud.
So now he's doing his best to learn, and even though he knows he won't quite master poetry even if he manages to master the language, there's a letter he really wants to write for someone close to him.
Things are made a little complicated when that person decides to help him learn, however. But Xuanli has every intention of doing his best to tell this person how he feels.

In this world, where creatures of myth and fantasy were as normal as the sky was blue, there were bound to be countless afflictions and illnesses that would also seem out of this world, but very real.
Like the disease where if you fall in love with someone, and they don’t return your feelings, you cough up flowers until you either get over them or they return your feelings.
Ira wasn’t very surprised when, one day, he started coughing up some tiny white petals.

Monsters, creatures of death, death bringers, shinigamis, guardian angels…
Normally, humans can't see them, but for the first time ever, Lynn comes across a human who can.
