Summary
Despite a difficult start, Shane grew to love the winter. He liked the way the town seemed to freeze in place, blocking out the rest of the world while their little lives ticked on like figurines in a snow globe.
The days were short and bearable. But summer always came along to thaw them out, and it broke his heart a little more every year.
When Shane gets out of rehab the summer before 11th Grade, he has no intention of staying clean. All he wants is to forget about the last few disastrous years and possibly survive to the end of the school year. The arrival of Ilya Rozanov complicates things.

“It’s weird,” Shane says. “Like something’s missing.”
Ilya hums, his eyes flitting to the bump where the baby was until just yesterday. His stomach is still distended, though softer than before, like his body hasn’t caught up to what just happened yet.
Shane isn’t sure that’s what he meant, but maybe Ilya’s right. Something was inside him, and now that thing is out in the world, a separate being that’s able to live and breathe without him.
Or, Shane decides the best way to beat the post-retirement-blues is to have a baby, but bringing new life into the world is no small feat.

Since moving here for college, Ray has seen some pretty crazy scenes in the city, particularly after their baseball games, but this feels bigger than that.

The world as they know it comes to an end on October 12th 2009. Now all they can do is find a way to survive not just the crazed monsters that have taken over what remains, but each other too. That might be the hardest task of all.

The handler considers for a moment, then: "Effective immediately, your mission is to obtain optimal levels of hydration, caloric intake, and sleep for at least seven continuous days. Understood?"
The Soldier nods. This is a test of its self-sufficiency. Its new owners want to know what it functions like at peak performance. Furthermore, the Soldier suspects that its owners want it to acclimate to these luxuries.

They haven´t talked for seven years and, as it seemed, Sirius managed to build the life he wanted. He had a partner, their flat, a dog and now a child?Something was wrong about that and Regulus needed to pinpoint out what is it.
Along the way he gets swept away by certain James which is making his plans harder than what he thought they´d be.
