“You okay, Cho?” she asked, turning her attention to him.
“Uh…” Well, whatever happened, now he’s here, stargazing with Dark. Which… “yeah, but how come you’re up here with me?” Dark had joined him up here in the quiet nights no more than ten times because she would always argue it was always mind-numbingly boring. Chosen had to drag her with him twice. In any case, it’s not in character for her to willingly join him.
“Couldn’t sleep. Can’t work on the project without the parts I need either, so joining you is the only other appealing thing to do right now.” She chewed on another piece of her snack.
Or: The Dark Lord is kind of strange with The Chosen One. But that's fine, at least she's still with him, and that's all he needs.

Skyler came to a full stop at the question. “That’s… straightforward,” she only said, narrowing her eyes at the girl.
“Are you or are you not?” she insisted.
A different kind of unease from earlier shifted in Skyler. “Do you need to know my occupation?”

“That’s alright, baby,” Europa dismissed after she pulled away, leaning into her touch—her skin feeling warm. “Although I am a little upset at how I didn’t get to see this wonderful outfit until now.” Her gaze dropped from Titania’s eyes and she reached out, her nail down catching on the collar of her blouse before dropping to toy with the fabric of her blazer.

The shorter started to stir, tail softly wagging once. Jupiter’s smile grew and he continued to press his lips to his face, peppering him in soft, tender kisses until Neptune hummed, weakly pulling away from Jupiter’s touch. Neptune slowly opened his eyes only to squeeze them shut and proceeded to bury his face in Jupiter’s chest.
“Too bright,” Neptune grumbled, sagging in Jupiter’s hold, “I’m being blinded.”
Jupiter chuckled, moving a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight.

By some miracle, he reached the door. He hauled his upper body against the cold wood, the world tilting and spinning violently. He wheezed, pressing a hand hard against the throbbing wound in his stomach, internally pleading a silent, desperate mantra. Open, open, please just open.
To his surprise, his silent pleading worked.
He nearly fell forward when the wooden door he was leaning against suddenly gave way. He barely held himself upright, watching as the purple stick figure’s body language shifted from surprised to irritated. Before he even got a word out, the door slammed shut.
