Summary
Batman didn’t sleep; he didn’t rest, nor did he take breaks. He didn’t acknowledge his injuries, his weaknesses, or his limitations. Batman was the night, and the night is relentless, unforgiving, unstoppable.
Bruce, on the other hand… he didn’t sleep, he didn’t rest, nor did he take breaks either, but he desperately needed to. Clark couldn’t do much about that. He couldn’t very well force the man to take a nap (even if sometimes he wished he could just push him down on a flat surface, effectively close his eyes, and order him to sleep). What he could do, however, was ensure Bruce kept an adequate energy level, the kind of energy level that allows a human being to stand upright, walk, talk, and generally survive life with minimal discomfort.
He… fed him. Clark fed him whenever he could.
The situation was not spiraling out of control. He could very well handle things, and “acts of service” was not Superman’s love language. It was not.

The stranger’s lips break apart in more than one place when he produces another little grin, a sarcastic twitch, but somehow Cobb knows that the smile is not for him: it’s meant for the stranger himself. “Maybe it can’t,” the guy says after a beat. “Maybe it would be better that way.”

Quando scopre la possibile esistenza di un serial killer che abbandona cadaveri in giro per la sua città, Spider-Man inizia ad essere ossessionato dall’idea di trovarlo. Ha così inizio una caccia senza tregua per cui Peter non è psicologicamente pronto né tecnicamente preparato, e per la quale l’unico supporto incondizionato lo riceve stranamente dall’unica persona che è sempre stata pronta a darglielo: Deadpool.
Peccato che per i due vigilanti gli anni di lotta inizino a farsi pesanti, le spalle a piegarsi, le ragnatele a spezzarsi, i sentimenti a sfilacciarsi e il cuore… a non reggere. -

He decided then to do some study of his own, to try and understand what's so special about the small, insignificant Midgardians.
He calculated everything for his close study of the human race, a race that managed to defeat him.

Superman’s head came up sharply, like the sound of Bruce’s shock still meant something to him—and it was Clark, but he was different. Different lines on his face, a subtly different curl to his hair, and as he looked Bruce up and down his eyes blew wide.
Bruce’s hand dropped immediately to his belt, a chill sweeping through him. “Not our Kal.”

When the League tries to bring in a thief with stolen reality-shifting technology, Clark is accidentally exchanged with his counterpart from a universe that's almost identical—except he's married to Lois. And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. The staff meeting after Cat had broken her foot had involved a lot of reassigning, since she couldn’t exactly do the usual society beat with her foot in a boot. So much that Clark hadn’t really thought twice when Perry had said “and Kent, you’ll take the new Wayne foundation piece,” because sure, he liked working the philanthropy stories occasionally. It wasn’t until they’d gotten back to their desks that Lois had burst into a fit of snickering and said “oh, I would pay money to see how you’re going to handle Bruce Wayne for two weeks,” and Clark had realized how majorly screwed he was.
