“You need it, don’t you? You need me.”
‘—To come,’ rested unsung, the implication clear. But she sensed an undercurrent to his words, the desperation of a creature who’d been chained so long he still limped about with the weight of invisible shackles, always ready to feed the hand that bit him.
When was the last time he’d had something of his own? Could he even remember?

Summary
It must have taken all his restraint to sit across from her at camp, where no plate armor confined her hips. Had the blood leached during her bath the night prior tumbled with the waves to the shore, where he was reading by candlelight? And she’d tossed her dirtied cloths to the fire—oh, shadows consume her, she was practically torturing the man.
Astarion’s hands were on his hips in a casual stance, but his fingertips betrayed him where they turned white under a vise-tight grip.
A perverted sense of pride filled her, seized a beat of her heart—it was her blood winding him up so much.

The Dawnknights’ creed forbade, in no uncertain terms, collusion with the undead. She would’ve been exercising the Morninglord’s will if she’d staked the vampire through before he even had a chance to speak with that honeyed tongue.
But really, what the hells else is she supposed to do with all this blood?

Summary
It’s the spring of ‘97 when Michael Robinavitch is dragged into a gay bar for the very first time.
When he meets Jack Abbot there, the two of them are on the cusp of radically different futures: Robby is about to begin his residency, and Jack is leaving for the army. They know better than to get attached - know the timing is wrong, the goodbye inevitable - but something tender takes root anyway. Through every deployment, Jack thinks of Robby more than he ought to; through every failed relationship, Robby wonders about what might've been.
Years later, when their paths cross again at PTMC, the past resurfaces — and though they’re older, more jaded, and scarred in different ways, they find themselves pulled towards everything they left unfinished.

Summary
Mindfang speaks little, if at all, while you eat. She picks at the food, from time to time, but drinks more than she eats; and she indulges in silence far more than she drinks. Not once has she attempted to kiss you, but you do not think for a single moment that she fears the loss of another limb, metal or otherwise.

Summary
Jake’s eyes are very green, and he is sidling up to Dirk like being threatened with a deadly weapon is a perfectly reasonable form of greeting - an inside joke, perhaps, or maybe it’s only funny when Dirk does it. Dirk isn’t sure. Dirk’s universe has narrowed to a point on a line. (Perfect time to crosspost this from tumblr, haha.)
