It all started with his crush on Padma Patil in fourth year. A Ravenclaw, she’d been whip-smart, formidable in the skies as a Quidditch Beater, and positively gorgeous. But after his miserable attitude at the Yule Ball, Ron's chances with her were smashed into tiny bits.
Next was Hermione. Unapologetic, tenacious, and more intelligent than half their teachers, she was intimidating. Thank Merlin they started out as friends, and after their failed attempt at dating, were able to return to a platonic relationship.
