It’s been a year since Caitlyn’s escape from the arcane. With Vi at her side, she’s settled neatly into her new life. But then, strange things start happening - gusts of wind that come from nowhere, brushes from unseen hands - and it becomes clear that Caitlyn’s past is not quite ready to be left behind.

Caitlyn runs her finger over the spines of the books until it lands on the one she is looking for. She pulls it from the shelf, but the bracket holding the rest of the row in place must be loose. Another book down the line falls free from its place, its pages fluttering helplessly as it lands on the ground.
Hauntings of Shurima, it says across the cover in a wobbly, spiky font. Then, below that, Myths, Legends, and Ghost Stories.
Another gust of air brushes against Caitlyn’s neck. She’s still shivering in surprise when she feels a hand drop down onto her shoulder.

One night, after propositioning Vi, after days of uncontrollable yearning, Vi gives her exactly what she wants from her. But, that one night ends up playing on her mind all the time, and suddenly her feelings and need for Vi go stronger. Meanwhile Caitlyn faces another problem in her life, her mother’s incessant want for her to be a politician. But Caitlyn does not want that. She wants Vi and to manage the farm. So Caitlyn comes up with a plan to get the two things she wants most.

Summary
Caitlyn's next heat is only days away and, for the first time, she gathers the courage to ask Vi for help.
Not in the way she truly wants, but with something much simpler: a few of Vi's clothes to fill her nest with the scent of an alpha she trusts.
Vi, convinced it would be rude to hand over dirty clothes that smelled like sweat, washes them before bringing them over, without thinking that Caitlyn would get very frustrated when she smelled the soap instead of her scent.
What follows involves a sprint across Piltover, a long overdue confession, and a nest that ends up far less orderly than it started.
