    Jiang Wanyin dreams of war.

    Jiang Cheng was 6 when he was kidnapped by enemies of the Jiang sect.
    When he eventually returned at 16, he found that his family had replaced him with someone named Wei Wuxian.
    And for whatever reason, they seemed to expect Jiang Cheng to bully or attack him.

    OR:

    The stereotypical story I'm tired of seeing where the biological daughter is kidnapped/swapped at birth or whatever and the adopted daughter is doted upon while the biological one is bullied and abused upon their return and the adopted daughter manipulates them but replace the daughters with Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian and Wei Wuxian is just oblivious not manipulative because I need more platonic ChengXian

    Jiang Cheng did not give a lot of thought to his death anymore, far too busy worrying about sect problems and nephew problems and dead brothers coming back to life problems.

    He was absolutely sure of one thing however— it would be his hatred that would kill him in the end.

    And thus, the absolute fucking irony that here he was, choking to death on his love, was un-fucking-believable and typical, really, of the shit-show that had been his life.

    Of course, not even death was going to be easy for him.

    Working more than five jobs a day can take a toll on a person’s mental condition. Try working jobs since you were seven, I can guarantee it. I know that they say that working too hard can kill you but I never believed.

    That was me a day ago.

    Now I’m dead and living in a new reality.

    “Dìdì, what are you doing?”

    “Thinking about life.”

    “While sitting in a corner and eating five plates of dumplings?”

    “We all have our thinking spaces, and you know I stress eat.”

    “.....Can I have some?”

    “ I made a plate for everyone in the kitchen.”

    “Thanks Dìdì. Ah, isn’t that letter from the Gusu— ”

    “Shush, ignore it and it will go away.”

    “But—”

    “I should get some more dumplings, I’m sure no one would notice if I—”

    “—we should ignore it and it will go away. Bye, love you Dìdì!”
