Leon doesn't seem upset, though, leaning back against the stone baluster with a contemplative look. "Hmm. No, it's okay. Actually, it might solve our problems if people do think that."
"If people think… we're together?" The words feel strange in his mouth, almost expecting to be slapped for even thinking about it, but Leon nods slowly.
"I mean, would save us the trouble of inventing any fake spouses, you know? And this line of work doesn't leave much space for a relationship outside of it anyway. It makes sense, don't you think?"
God, does it make sense. If only Leon knew how often and thoroughly Chris had considered that it made sense. Well, perhaps it's still better he doesn't know. "Yes." Chris's voice comes out raspy, and he clears his throat and tries again. "Yes, it makes sense."

Leon está lívido, de pie en el despacho de Hunnigan, rechinando los dientes con tanta fuerza que le sorprende no haberse astillado uno de ellos.
—Leon, ¿podrías escucharme un minuto?
Ella intenta comunicarse con él, pero él no quiere oírlo, ya es suficiente con que le hayan vuelto a cancelar las vacaciones, pero pedirle esto... es totalmente humillante.
—¡He dicho que no lo voy a hacer!
Rebusca en el bolsillo del pantalón, agarra con fuerza entre el pulgar y el índice la ficha azul oscura que encuentra allí y la golpea contra el escritorio de Hunnigan, dejándola entre ellos como un recordatorio de lo que le está exigiendo.
—Será mejor que te lo lleves ahora.
Seis meses de sobriedad. Reuniones semanales de AA. Antidepresivos recetados que no está tirando a la basura. De verdad está intentando ser mejor, lo está, pero sabe que aceptar esta misión hará que todo eso sea en vano.

Chris y Leon emprenden una misión encubierta, con la necesidad de organizar un falso matrimonio. Todo parece ir según lo previsto, si no fuera porque sus propios secretos van saliendo poco a poco a la luz.

Summary
It’s less than 24 hours post-mission from successfully stopping the virus from spreading at Alcatraz, and the team decided to go out for a drink since it’s the least they can do.
Which is fine, except for the fact that Leon has kept that he’s an omega for so long that it starts forcing its way through him. So with Piers help, he escapes to a hotel where he has his first heat (he’s been taking suppressants since he was 19, he’s never had a heat)
Chris comes to save him, and somehow from there they end up mated by the end of the night.
Or TLDR: Leon escapes bar in heat, Chris comes after him in worry, fucking ensues, they become mates.
