Summary
Fudou, an aspiring musician, craved greatness, capacity, prowess. Kazemaru, a frustrated bartender, longed for what once used to be his lifeline, the sport he had fallen in love with yet didn't feel talented enough to pursue. At first, they had hated each other —both were cowards, both were weak— yet in between all that animosity, a flicker of understanding sparked.
Fudou tried to despise Kazemaru. He failed.
Kazemaru tried to be unaffected by Fudou's sharp, obnoxious charm. He failed too.
As one navigated the world of music and attempted to keep afloat his band, the other learnt to be gentler with himself, as well as brave enough to face his problems head-on. As odd as it was, they somehow helped each other through it. Would such a connection develop into something more than a steady firendship? Or would it proof to be their utter doom?
Or: a stubborn story in which Fudou and Kazemaru fall in love.

Summary
Rika had been dreaming about her wedding since the tender age of six. Her mom, a hopeless romantic who found comfort in the delusion of love, had told her tales about the magic venues and the doting vows, showed her pictures of beautiful brides and white dove dresses, sung her love songs to lullaby her into sleep. Little Rika had found herself infatuated by the idea scarily fast. She would draw illustrations of her future wedding in her sparkly pink notebook, showcasing herself in a pretty frilly gown and a veil so long it reached the floor. As the years went by, the groom went through a variety of changes: during elementary school it was Mako Shirahoshi, in the first year of high school it had been Hideotshi Sato, and through ages thirteen to fifteen she had her heart utterly and irrevocably stolen by Ichinose Kazuya.
From then on, though, her drawings no longer pictured a groom, but rather another bride. The moment Zaizen Touko had entered her life, everything Rika thought sure and settled crumbled beneath her feet.

Summary
Kazemaru didn’t know how to look at Endou with a straight face anymore. And that was due to a lot of things.
First of all, he had left the team, and not exactly on good terms. He, who was used to winning, whose soul was competitive and aching for greatness, hadn’t been able to handle defeat. Inevitably, he had relinquished the sport, and Endou too in the process. The second reason was even more shameful: the part he had played in the Dark Emperors. After abandoning Raimon, he had been offered the power of the Aliea Stone, and Kazemaru had indulged in his sickest desires; the want to be strong no matter what.
So no, of course he wasn’t able to face Endou properly. All the same, there was one more reason Kazemaru had a hard time addressing his friend. And it wasn’t one that induced him pain – he wished it was –, but rather one that caused his cheeks to burn.
Kazemaru didn’t know how to talk to Endou anymore because the latter…
“Bring it on, pretty boy!”
… had called him pretty.

Summary
Someoka was shirtless in front of the mirror. His eyes were scanning every inch of his persona with extreme precision, and his eyebrows twitched every time he encountered yet another thing he disliked about it.
His short pinkish hair did not go well with his face shape nor skin tone at all. He also had a very prominent jaw that gave the impression of a perpetual scowl, and which made his smiles appear awkward. It tended to convey to his peers he was intimidating, although he was actually a very kind, amiable person. His nose, on the other hand, was just big; so big it seemed to make his other features smaller. He raised his fingers to trace the swollen, uneven lips and the prominent, sharp cheekbones. His looks were not even average, he wished they were. But no; they were straight up unsightly.
Someoka sighed, resigned. So he really was ugly, huh?
Or: Someoka is insecure because of his looks and Fubuki makes sure to prove him otherwise.

Summary
Kazemaru’s turquoise hair flew in every direction, each silky lock alive and moving on its own in a wild manner; getting in front of his eyes, in his mouth, caressing the sensitive skin of his nape… Kazemaru felt a shiver travel from his toes to the tip of his nose. On a windy day as that was, it had been foolish to not bound it in a ponytail, as usual. He reached for his wrist, where he always had some spare ties, but realized midway he wouldn’t find any. He grimaced dryly, and continued to walk to school unbothered in spite of the teasing flocks of hair. Training, he concluded, would be hell; maybe he should skip it. He wasn't worth much, after all.
Fortunately, Gouenji was there to snap him out of his crap.

Kevin's arrival is a welcome distraction. There isn't really a way to escape each other's problems when you're sharing a house. But after all, they've always understood each other better than anyone else.
