Summary
What would you do if your family won a combined total of over six hundred million pounds? Moss had plenty of ideas. New house, his own car (his own house!), video games, an office, hundreds and millions (billions) of Smarties. But he didn’t get a say. His parents won, so his parents chose what to buy.
It was worse because Moss’ parents were divorced, each won sums in the lottery at the same, though, and suddenly they were back together. Putting aside their differences to focus on what mattered: not their son- West Ham United.
They bought out the whole football club.

Summary
‘Alright.’ Anders sighs, then leaves them hanging in silence for an agonisingly long moment. ‘Mason told me that he’s gay.’
Simon coughs as he tries to cover up a laugh. ‘So the apple don’t fall far after all.’
‘Excuse me?’ There’s an aghast edge to Anders’ voice that surprises him.
Simon hadn’t even meant it as that much of a dig, more of an observation. ‘Oh, come on, you’re really gonna play straight w’ me, after…’
‘After what,’ Anders snaps too quickly, a sudden sharpness in his brown eyes, challenging Simon to say it, daring him to talk about it.
He refuses to take the bait.***
When Mason tells his dad he's gay, Anders is forced to reflect on his own feelings, and what it truly means for his broken relationship with Simon Grigson

‘I do not understand why it is called Boxing Day,’ Felix says as they push against each other to squeeze through the lounge doorway at the same time. The press of their Christmas jumpers, warm body against warm body, sends blood rushing to Sam’s face.
‘We watch it on tv,’ Sam says.
‘Huh?’
‘Boxing.’
Felix blinks at him in the middle of the room, utter confusion in his expression and Sam can’t hold back anymore. Laughs.
‘I’m joking,’ he says

Summary
‘Ahem.’
Ricky turned around, his sweaty shirt still screwed up in one hand. Everyone was staring and he was suddenly way too aware of his state of half-nudity. Usually, it wouldn't bother him but Tinsley was in front of him, and he was practically a stranger. Ricky looked him up and down.
‘Well?’ he asked.
‘I feel like we didn’t have a proper introduction.’
Ricky shrugged. ‘I know your name, you know mine. Does it matter?’

Summary
‘You don’t sound very sure about it,’ Princess says almost accusingly and Sid doesn’t have to look round to know she’s looking pointedly at him but in an innocent way, her head slightly tilted with curiosity.
‘I… no I am, I just, don’t want to hurt your feelings, is all,’ Sid answers, briefly thinking about inadvertently patronising her at the dinner table those months back, when he asked if there was something going on.
Princess chuckles but it comes off a little false. ‘Well you needn’t worry, I had already kind of figured that Bear was in love with you, it’s no big deal.’

Summary
Maeve stared at him. Then she blinked and composed herself. “I don’t want you to be jealous. There’s nothing to be jealous of. It’s ridiculous. If anything I ought to be jealous of Inspector Sullivan.”
Sid’s stomach dropped. “Why?” he asked dryly, picking at the bed covers.
Maeve laughed. “The time you spend with him. God. Perhaps you should be with him and I should be with Bunty, would that please you?”***
Things were already going wrong. They were. Inspector Sullivan's reappearance was just... proving a point that already existed.
